DND 227 Hot New Bombshell is a bright fuchsia from DND”s HEMA & TPO Free line. You get the gel polish and its matching lacquer, so a gel manicure and a lacquer pedicure come out the same colour.

How to apply the gel

Start with a clean plate: no oil, no shine.

Base gel: DND #500, DC #800 or DIVA #100, cured 30 seconds.

Two thin coats: DND 227 Hot New Bombshell, 45 seconds under LED per coat; thin layers cure evenly.

Seal: no-wipe top gel, 45 seconds, then cuticle oil.

Bridal and bridesmaid bookings: pink sits close to most natural nail beds, so regrowth shows slowly.

Which option to choose

If a client has reacted to gel before, DND 227 Hot New Bombshell is the DND duo to trial, since the line leaves out HEMA and TPO. The base and top gels are separate products, so check their labels too.

Removal

File through the top coat, then soak in acetone for about 10 to 15 minutes and ease the softened gel off with a pusher. Skip the drill on the natural nail and finish with cuticle oil.
