DND HEMA & TPO Free Gel Duo 008 Dune

DND 008 Dune is a sheer rose from DND”s HEMA & TPO Free line. You get the gel polish and its matching lacquer, so a gel manicure and a lacquer pedicure come out the same colour.

In DND”s words: A creamy soft taupe with sheer pink undertones, like the glow of sunset falling on top of drifting sand.

What you get

1 x DND 008 Dune gel polish, 0.5 fl oz (15 mL), cured under an LED or UV lamp

1 x DND 008 Dune nail lacquer, 0.5 fl oz (15 mL), air-dries

Why techs stock it

TPO free: TPO is the photoinitiator the EU removed from cosmetics in 2025; this formula does not use it.

Rated for 21 days: DND lists up to 21 days of chip-free wear with proper prep.

Does not shrink: DND lists the HEMA & TPO Free formula as non-shrinking and chip-free.

Natural-nail look: the sheer finish lets some of the nail show through, good for clean-girl sets.

How to apply the gel

Start with a clean plate: no oil, no shine.

Base gel: DND #500, DC #800 or DIVA #100, cured 30 seconds.

Two thin coats: DND 008 Dune, 45 seconds under LED per coat; thin layers cure evenly.

Seal: no-wipe top gel, 45 seconds, then cuticle oil.

Bridal and bridesmaid bookings: pink sits close to most natural nail beds, so regrowth shows slowly.

Everyday short square sets, paired with a milky white for a soft French.

Which option to choose

DND”s standard gel line contains HEMA, per its safety data sheet. DND 008 Dune belongs to the separate HEMA & TPO Free line, so it is the DND option for clients who react to regular gel. Any client with a known allergy should still patch test.

Removal

File through the top coat, then soak in acetone for about 10 to 15 minutes and ease the softened gel off with a pusher. Skip the drill on the natural nail and finish with cuticle oil.
