DND 088 Ube Skies is a periwinkle purple from DND”s HEMA & TPO Free line. You get the gel polish and its matching lacquer, so a gel manicure and a lacquer pedicure come out the same colour.

1 x DND 088 Ube Skies nail lacquer, 0.5 fl oz (15 mL), air-dries

How to apply the gel

Prep: shape, cuticle work, light buff, dehydrator.

Base: thin base gel from any DND line, cured.

Colour: DND 088 Ube Skies in two thin coats, capping the edge, 45 seconds each.

Top: no-wipe top gel, cured, no cleanse.

Which option to choose

DND”s standard gel line contains HEMA, per its safety data sheet. DND 088 Ube Skies belongs to the separate HEMA & TPO Free line, so it is the DND option for clients who react to regular gel. Any client with a known allergy should still patch test.

Lamp check

An LED lamp cures each thin colour coat in well under a minute; a UV lamp takes about 2 minutes. If the surface stays soft, the coat was too thick or the lamp is getting old.
